In the framework of the Doctoral Programme FCT IDPASC Portugal, the network IDPASC opens a call for applications to: PhD Scholarships for thesis subjects proposed by IDPASC researchers and taking place in Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade do Porto, Universidade de Évora, Universidade de Coimbra and Universidade do Minho in the following fields:

• Particle Physics;
• Astrophysics;
• Cosmology.

The grants will be awarded directly by FCT to the students. Thus, under the Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica, approved by Law no. 40/2004 of 18th August, in its current wording, and Regulamento de Bolsas da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, the IDPASC Portugal Scientific Committee launches a tender for the selection of grantees to award individual grants.

The PhD Scholarships will not begin before the 1st January 2015.
