Post-doctoral research fellowship in the field of Farmland Bird Ecology
Over the last decades the strong development of terrestrial transportation infrastructures (e.g. roads and railways) changed Earth landscapes, promoted large scale habitat fragmentation, created artificial barriers to movement of many organisms and increased non-natural mortality.
This project aims to assess the baseline, impacts and possible mitigation and compensatory actions for vertebrate fauna coming from the construction of a new high speed railway, which will be located in Alentejo, Portugal.
